#1: Bird Nest Challenge
Discover the fascinating world of bird nests. What is their purpose? What are they made of? And why are they important? Students will use recyclable materials to build their own bird nest while learning about the birds of Puget Sound.
#2: Hold Onto Your Home
Life in the intertidal zone can be harsh. Tides, weather, competition, predation, disturbance and succession all play a role in survival. By designing a new species of their own, students discover adaptations that make survival possible and ways these animals are successful in its niche.
